I will put my Charge 5 on charge and get the battery to 100%, by the end of the day the battery will be on 87%. So far so good, but by the morning it will be dead. The name truly does fit this item, as I have to charge it 5 times more than any other Fitbit I have owned. It is so inconsistent with it's battery life that I am really unable to use it properly. I have turned off pretty much all of it's features, which makes me wonder why I am even still using it. Due to this issue I am going to be getting rid of my Charge 5, and will no longer be purchasing any Fitbit product. This makes me somewhat sad since other products have been decent, but all it takes is one very poor product to turn a group of customers away.

@Paidmember Sad to hear that you're not satisfied with your Charge 5.
According to your info I think that something running in the background on your Charge 5's software drains it's battery over night. I assume that you wear your Charge 5 over night to do sleep tracking. Is your phone nearby over this time period?

It's kind of mixed. There are times that the only time I get a chance to charge it is at night. Other times I will wear it overnight, and the battery is hardly touched at all.

@Paidmember I still believe that your Charge 5's battery is draining that fast over night because there's constant attempts to communicate over Bluetooth during that time. Please try restarting you phone before going to sleep and putting it not too far away from your Charge 5.

I just bought a charge 5 today. Do you mean that I have to have my phone in my bedroom for the battery not to die? I can't leave my phone downstairs?

@Paidmember I think that some background process on your phone might be running and continuously try to connect to your Charge 5.
Please try to switch of your phone off for one night to check wether or not your Charge 5's battery is being drained to zero in this night.

@Josiahfied Not at all. I personally don't have my smart phone in my bedroom and have no issues concerning battery drain on my Charge 5.
Welcome to Fitbit! Have fun with your new Charge 5! Great device, small size. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to post here.
