Being a glutton for punishment….Charge 6?

I’m wondering whether anyone has a realistic guess as to whether there will be a Charge 6 released soon? I have been a Fitbit user since 2014 and really REALLY don’t want to move to another platform unless/until it becomes absolutely necessary when/if Fitbit irretrievably breaks. My Charge 5 entered its death spiral about three weeks ago, and it’s clear it can’t be revived. I have an Inspire 2 that’s working fine, so for now at least I can still have my stats, but I really miss the onboard GPS.

I’m trying to decide whether to take the discount for my bricked Charge 5 and use it for a Versa 4 (I had the original Versa and really liked it) or wait for a Charge 6 (I like the size of the Charge line better than the Versas, since my wrists are tiny.) But, I don’t want to wait too long.

Please don’t tell me I need to switch to Apple, Garmin, etc. Someday that might be necessary, but I’m not ready to do that yet.

UPDATE: tired of this. I went ahead and switched to Garmin.

Suggestions?

Original Flex (March 2014); Charge HR; Alta HR; Original Versa; Inspire; Sense; Charge 5; Inspire 2

Hi @stellafred

Based on articles I've seen from various tech sites like the ones below, they seem fairly certain that we should see it this year. I'm keeping a watch on my favorite tech sites for any leaks confirming a Charge 6 release date as well as any specs.

My Charge 5 died completely on July 6, I have been trying to get answers / solutions / replacement since then. I have tried all the recommended fixes, nothing works. My unit was 16 months old, it should not have expired, just like so many others on this forum. Fitbit / Google stand up and take responsibility for the damages you have caused. Replace at no cost to your loyal customers, all the non functioning Charge 5 trackers. Show that you are a reputable company.
