Black screen with the green dots

My charge 5 is only 4 months old. As of yesterday, it’s stuck on a black screen with 5 green dots on top. Similar to the screen for instructions for EDA. When I plug into charge it works. I have fully charged it yesterday. Please advice.

Have you tried restarting your Charge 5?

 

You can do a harder restart by connecting it to the charging cable then pressing the button at the USB end 3 times (you might have to experiment with the timing between presses).

Hopefully the Fitbit logo should come up and it should restart.

I did the reset. It’s working as normal for now. Will keep you updated.

I got mine yesterday and was really happy. But now I have the same problem but one red dot in the middle. My problem is that I bought the pebble and a charger at Amazon. Charger is great but doesn't have the button. So no way to restart the Charge 5. And nothing, NOTHING works.

No unfortunately I did not. Still having the problem. I ordered a new
charging cable since I have the dock and you can't restart with that. I
am very frustrated. Why didn't they fix the problem if so many have it.

I have a red dot in the middle 🙂 but the same problem! I am very frustrated right now. Not sure if I want a Fitbit again.

Shafiya - I just tried for a million times again and I remembered in the hundreds of comments that somebody suggested to change the clock face. I deleted the device and reinstalled on my phone. And I don't know how and why but it came up. I changed the clock face and now I am waiting. Hopefully that'll work.

That seems to be strange to get it so close together.  I think it would be a good idea to contact Support for help.  You can do that by tapping Help at the bottom of the page, then Get Support, then Live Chat (you can attach your picture then).

 

As @BaerbelB says, sometimes changing the clock face can help, but the dots happening again so soon sounds more serious, so asking Support would be a really good idea.

You should find a permanent solution since many are going through the same issue. Seems a little unprofessional

I did the reset and it worked, although I didn’t see a button to push. Either way I’m happy.

did a reset again and changed the clock face. many users are experiencing the same issue. wonder why they are unable to find a permanent solution.
