My charge 5 display stopped responding while I was tracking exercise a couple of days ago. I tried all the troubleshooting and nothing works to get the display working again. I could get it to charge and to sync but nothing shows on the display and now battery doesn't last more than an hour. So I switched back to my charge 4 and it was working fine until today. Again I was tracking my exercise and now the display is not responding. It won't sync either and is totally unresponsive. Is anyone else having an issue? Is it possible there is a problem with the most recent update? Any other suggestions on things to try? I am so frustrated!!!!!

I've had similar problems, with increasing frequency, where my FitBit 5 goes dead. Just like the OLD windows Blue Screen of Death. The most recent event today was when I was golfing and VOILA the screen was dead. Not easy to plug in the charger and restart the charge 5, so I had a brick (small but still a brick) on my wrist. I've also noticed the battery needs charging more frequently. A one two punch that is causing serious concerns about the product line (5/6/7 or whatever).
I don't understand why there is not a HW based capability to restart the Charge 5. Have I missed something, or is this just what I'd describe as a design flaw?

I have the same issue. I disconnected it as it was mentioned as one of solutions, but couldn't connect it back without a passcode. Display came on for a few seconds and I could connect it back. But the display hasn't come on again, it has been a good couple of weeks. I still can't believe that so many people have exactly the same issue. It's either the hardware is flawed or it has been bricked deliberately or otherwise via software. Fitbit customer care just gave up as the device is out of warranty. I used it for a few days w/o display for a few days and finally gave up 😞
