Bought new Charge 5 but 6 month premium not activatef

I have been a Fitbit user for years and just got a new Charge 5 that came with 6 months of free premium however my account did not activate it when I setup the new device.  Any thoughts?

Hello @Megguls 

 

I think you have to click on the link to set up Premium (and provide a payment option for when the trial ends).  It’s an opt in rather than opt out thing so it’s not automatic.  You can find it at the bottom of the Today Screen in the App on your phone.

 

If you don’t want to continue with Premium after your trial ends you’ll have to remember to cancel it before the first payment kicks in.

Thank you that worked for the Premium.

However now I’m having all sorts of issues with the actual device. I can’t
download the latest software update and the device keeps crashing.
Right now it says I have 51 steps and I had a flight this am so I know this
is very wrong. Any suggestions?

Hello again @Megguls 

 

I'm glad your Premium problem is solved!  It might be a good idea to restart your tracker now if you're having problems.

 

Connect it to the charger and then press the button at the USB end 3 times.  You may have to experiment with the timing of the presses.

Thanks.  Unfortunately I did this plus a number of other troubleshooting suggestions I could on the community and I still cannot get my device updated with the latest software update.  Other suggestions?
