My brand new Charge 5 arrived today. I charged it and it was 100% then sync'd with my phone. I wore it ONCE today and mid-day a message said critical battery. Plug into charger. I wasn't near a charger. It is Why did this happen?

Hi Jules7890! I would restart the watch, and if the 100% appeared on your app also restart your phone. If that doesn’t solve the problem, return it to wherever you got the device for an exchange. I bought my Charge 5 @ Best Buy and they have a 15 day no-questions-asked return policy.
I would add that generally speaking what’s happening to you is rare, so go for the exchange and not a refund. 😊

Thanks for replying! I’ll monitor. Im back onboard. I restarted phone and recharged watch. 🤞 i purchased directly from Fitbit.

Good to hear that you were able to solve the problem! It’s good that you bought it directly from Fitbit, because in my experience they back up their products excellently. I got my first Fitbit, a Charge HR, in 2016 - and had a lot of difficulty getting it to work right. When I sent it in to exchange it, they replaced it with a more expensive and better model - the Blaze - which worked extremely well during its two-year tenure on my wrist.
