Brand New Charge 5 Stopped Gathering My Activity

I fully charged my brand new Charge 5 to 99% prior to leavinb at 12pm. The screen was displaying the time but everything else was at zero. I went to visit historical sites and a national park in Santo Domingo DR and realized none of my activity was being captured nor displayed. At 6pm my Charge 5 displayed it was at 5% then it died. This is a brand new device which I only purchased becuz my Charge 4 died.

Thank you for sharing all this information about this issue with your Charge 5. 

 

Let me know if you're still having any problem with the display or if it's still completely unresponsive. In the meantime, please try completing a three pulse restart and let me know if you continue to have the same problem afterwards:  

 

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times (end of the USB cable), pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.
