Since there is no function for adding breastfeeding to kcal expenditure, I am manually logging the calories burned under “aerobic workout” and 550 kcal burned but my heart rate is essentially my resting rate. Does this mess the algorithm up for kcal expenditure? My calories burned has seemed so high with relatively low step counts. Wondered if I’m messing up the data somehow.

Hi, it's good to see you visiting the community forums for the first time, @Lmcrisler.
The calorie consumption during Breastfeeding is usually around 400-500 calories. For non step based activities, it's usually recommended to use the Workout option. Please try using this option and check if you continue to experience the same behavior.
In addition, I recommend that you vote for this idea posted in the Product Feedback section of the community, as this is always helpful for the team of developers to continue to track popularity and demand over time.
