Bright light on left side of display

The display of my fitbit recently started showing a bright light along the left side. The watch still works as it should, but the bright light is quite annoying, Is the display broken or did I make a mistake somewhere?

@DianeVR3003 As there's no user action that could cause this, I'm afraid that the display or the display connector is broken.

I'd suggest Fitbit Customer Support to check for available service options:
