Hello. My doctor said I can only exercise if I keep my heart rate under 140. Is there a way that I can make my watch alert me/vibrate if I exceed 140? I know you can do it when you’re resting for 10 minutes but I specifically want to know if it exceeds whilst working out. Thanks!

@Nickie1 Welcome to the Fitbit community!
To adjust heart rate notifications, tap on your profile picture in the upper left corner of the Today section in the Fitbit app. Then tap on the Charge 5 tile to select your device. Now tap on High & Low Heart Rate to get to the appropriate settings. After having enabled Custom, you now can adjust those to your liking. Sync your Charge 5 afterwards, and you're done.

@Nickie1 I'm sorry, but the suggestion given by @Talahthas won't help. The high/low heart rate alerts are only at rest. Fitbit doesn't have an setting for a specific heart rate alert while exercising.
I think Fitbit's active zone minute alerts (vibrations) are annoying, so I turn them all off. When you use the Exercise app, you get vibrations as you move through the zones. According to this Help article, you will get one, two, or three vibrations as you enter fat burn, cardio, and peak heart rate zones. Can you use this feature? What are your current zones? You can see this by tapping on your AZM icon on your mobile app.

@Nickie1 Oops, @LZeeW is completely right. I remembered that wrong.
But if you're under medical observation concerning your heart health, it might be a good idea to set notification limits for your resting heart rate in any case.

Thank you. Yes I think I just might do something like that. Do you know what HR correlates to fat burn, cardio etc?

@Nickie1 Fitbit's zone minute equation uses your resting heart rate in the calculation. My resting heart rate is usually about 48 bpm. Someone my age with a resting heart of 60 bpm will completely different zones. You can see your zones by tapping on the zone minute icon on your mobile app.
