Can you use the free 6 month premium trial even if you used free trial for charge 4?

Hi @Anna122685

This is what the Fitbit website says regarding the premium trial.

†New and returning Premium members only. Must activate membership within 60-days of device activation (requires valid payment). This membership cannot be gifted. Cancel before end of membership to avoid recurring fees. Content and features may change. See here for more details. T&C apply.

For me, returning Premium members would be users who have already had premium in one way or another in the past. Maybe a Moderator could clarify this a bit further though.

I came here to ask what happens if you're already a Premium member.  Is my payment suspended for the duration of the trial or do I have to cancel it?

@fionac premium is connected to your fitbit account, not the tracker.

Changing trackers, will not affect your premium account, even the free trial version.

So, in other words, if you've already got Premium, you can't take advantage of the free Premium offer?

^ That is interesting fine print. It would be nice to get an actual answer. The way I read it is current premium members do not get credit. It sounds like we would need to cancel premium, buy a Charge 5 and then activate the free 6 month trial. If so, that is dumb.

If you already have premium. You will need to cancel this subscription. However your premium subscription will not end until the subscription expires. Which is a month after your last payment.

After your premium subscription expires, you will be able to sign up for a 6 month free trial. This may only give the user a 30 day window to sign up for the free trial.

Of you have a 6 month free trial, you will not be able to extend this. The only option is see is to wait and by the Charge 5 after your free trial expires.

Yes @Clint88, it does seem to be worded in a way that excludes users with an active subscription. I guess fitbit doesn't really want users who are already paying to easily revert to a free membership.

I’m pretty sure that the free trial offer is one time only.  After setting up a new Inspire 3, my only premium choice was the regular paid subscription:
