Hi there, @jeansarg. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums. It's nice to hear you want to wear your Charge 5 during your aerobic class.
As @Jennaveev has mentioned, you can totally wear your Fitbit device for this activity. Nevertheless, I would recommend using the exercise app on your Fitbit and tracking it as a “swim”. Using the swim exercise shortcut automatically turns on the water lock on your Charge 5. The water lock does not cause it to be more water proof (this tends to be a misunderstanding for a lot of users). The water lock actually does prevent splashing from activating your Charge 5 and potentially pausing or ending your tracking.
However, if you decide not to use the swim exercise, you can manually turn on the water lock by swiping down from the clock screen tap Water Lock firmly tap your screen twice. To turn off water lock, firmly double-tap the middle of the screen with your finger. If you don't see "Unlocked" appear on screen, try tapping harder. Turning off this feature uses the accelerometer in your device, which takes more force to activate.
Lastly, please note that if your device gets wet, it’s important to take it off and dry it well before putting it back on. If your device comes into contact with any liquid other than fresh water, you should clean it with fresh water and a soap-free cleanser (like Cetaphil) and dry it with a lint free-cloth.

Yes, but you have to turn the Water Block feature on to protect the watch from water. I think you can also pick water aerobics on the tracker to track your activity.

You think the Chlorinated water may be a factor? The chlorine could certainly degrade the seal especially if you don't rinse off the pool water right after. IDK b/c I have worn mine in the spa tub, but that's usually bromine esp. for home spas, but both are corrosive.
