Can't back out of set up Charge 5

I was exploring my new Fitbit and accidentally hit the icon to set up a new Fitbit. I only have one so don't wish to set up another, but I can't get out of the set up.

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @gtrcandy

Thanks for sharing your inquiry about the Charge 5. 

Let me know if you're still on the set up screen on the Charge 5. If you can't get out of that screen, please try completing a restart using the charging cable and let me know if your device goes back to your regular clock face: 

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times within 8 seconds, holding each press for about 1 second.
  3. Wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.
  4. If the device doesn’t restart, wait 15 seconds to try again.

If you were also referring to the Fitbit app, you can Force Quit the app and reopen it or restart your phone as well.

Thanks, David. I solved it myself by going to my phone settings and forcing the app to stop. Maybe you can answer another question: how do I get a confirmation code to join the Fitbit Community for Renew Active?
