Have a charge 5 which has limited exercise options/shortcuts. Used to be able to set as a Outdoor Workout and change after exercise is complete to Rollerblading, Ice Skating or Paddleboarding. Now you can't change the exercise title on the app or on the dashboard. And the Charge 5 does not have the shortcut or any options for Rollerblading, Ice Skating or Paddleboarding. Does anyone have workaround? FItbit just told me to buy a Charge 6 instead!! Just got the 5 a year ago. Very disappointed, New interface has less functionality instead of more.

Hello @CHCHAN
The issue with not being able to edit the name for a completed activity initially affected mainly Android users. Apparently, iOS users are seeing this issue after a recent app update.
This thread (<-- click link) has a workaround for iOS users that was discovered by one of the community members. Several iOS users have confirmed the workaround works for them. Although it's a bit of an annoyance to go through all the steps, at least iOS users have something until the issue is fixed in a future app update.

Thanks @RiekoC
Thanks for this. I saw the work around. It didn't work for me. After I selected Manage Data I got a screen only showing the diamond dot logo. The only option seems to be to select Done in the upper right hand corner. Could not scroll down to select Exercise or anything. Manipulated the screen a bit and went in and out of the app and the logo vanished so just had a blank screen, no change from there. In general I have noticed the new app to be very slow on my iPhone. Things take a long time to load or don't load so the app is frozen. The touch screen does not react. When I select an Outdoor Workout, sometimes the GPS map and Heart rate charts don't load. I have to go to my computer Dashboard to get the info. And when it does load, the map know does not show the distance. I also noticed that the calculated average heart rate were different on the app than on my computer dashboard. How does that happen? I guess my IPhone 13 Pro does not play well with the app. This might be an instance of that. Can't get to Exercise step as app is frozen. The new app is just terrible. Any further help much appreciated.

Hello @CHCHAN
It's disappointing to see that the workaround didn't work for you and that you are having additional app issues.
Have you had a chance to do an app force stop on your phone and clear the cache? This process can sometimes reset the app so it runs better.
Another option would be to uninstall the Fitbit app and re-install it. If you try this, make sure to do a sync first. Although you shouldn't lose any data by doing an app uninstall/re-install, it's best to do a sync first to ensure your data is uploaded to your account in the Fitbit servers.
BTW, which version of the iOS Fitbit app do you have?

Thanks @RiekoC
For whatever reason, the work around worked yesterday and I got past the blue diamond and was able to Manage Data. I noticed that the old app has a different calculated heart rate that then new one for the same exercise. The info on my computer dashboard matches the avg rate on the old app not the new one. On my latest exercise the old one was 110 avg and the new one says 113 avg . How can the new app be so off? Or which one is right? The old app has the max heart rate which was dropped on the new app. I like having that info.
Have iOS 17.2.1

Hi @CHCHAN
Thanks for the update. I'm glad to see that you were successful with the workaround. Hopefully, the real fix will come soon in an app update.
Regarding your question as to which number is correct, I don't know for sure. A difference of +/- 3 isn't too bad. I would hope that the new app has the more correct number based on updated algorithm, but that's just a guess.
There's a feature request in the Product Feedback forum to Bring back max heart rate value on logged exercise (<-- click link). You might want to add your vote & comment to this feature request. Hopefully, this metric will be reinstated in a future app update. I miss not seeing it, too.

Thanks for the tip, added my vote on the max heart rate.
Calculating an avg heart rate is really easy, just straight math. The only difference could be how frequently they sample to calculate (every 10 second versus every 5 minutes). It would seem to take a big difference to get +/-3 change which makes me skeptical of the method/accuracy.
