Can the Charge 5 display military time?

Can the charge 5 time display be changed to military time?

Hello @Bob31 and welcome to the Community.  You can change this, but you must do it on your fitbit.com dashboard using a web browser.

• Log in with your email/password
• Tap/click on the gear icon in the upper right, then Settings in the drop down
• Look for Clock Display Time in the Advanced Settings and change it to 24 hour
• Tap/click on Submit at the bottom of the page

This is an account setting.  You only need to do this once.  If you ever switch devices, this setting is saved.

Well I tried but cannot locate a gear icon.

It’s on the Fitbit.com Dashboard not the App. It’s on the main page for your stats in the top right hand corner and looks like this:
