Changes to active zone minutes since firmware update on Charge 5

So, since the firmware update I've noticed a radical change in active zone minutes. Prior to the update (I installed it on the weekend) getting my 150 minutes in was a goal I had to work for, and usually made by Friday/Saturday of the week if I worked at it. Since I installed the update, I've reached my 150 goal my mid-Monday, and am on pace to triple my goal by the end of the week, even though my activity levels haven't really changed. Heck, it logged 13 active minutes while I was sitting, eating dinner!

Is there a way to correct this change in tracking zone minutes, or rollback the firmware update? Should I get a Charge 6 while it's on sale?

Welcome to the community, @HaukeaAcct I am happy to see you here.

Thanks for letting me know about the situation in regards to the active zone minutes tracked after the Charge 5 firmware update.

I recommend you to check 'What factors can affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?'. Also, you can earn Active Zone Minutes for time spent in the fat burn, cardio, or peak heart-rate zones, it depends on your heart rate and not the activity that the Fitit devices, your Charge 5, will track active minutes. You can restart your Charge 5 if you think your heart rate is having a situation.

Let me know how it goes once you have done all this.

That is the issue though. Prior to the firmware update you had to be actually active to earn AZMs. Now it seems that doing anything that raises the heart rate earns AZMs, even if you’re not active. Worse, I just earned 5 while knitting for moderate activity, even though my heart rate never got close to the moderate zone.

And yes, I did read the articles and reset my Fitbit.
