Charge 4 & 5 Wristband connector / clamp

Charge 4 had a faulty design for the connector / clamp where you connect wristband.  For me and my wife, it broke after a couple of years.  So, we had to throw a perfectly functioning watch / tracker for a small mechanical faulty part..  Rather bizarre!

How is the experience with Charge 5? What is the longevity of the wristband connector?  Has anyone experienced any problems?

Hello & welcome @Parlekar

The Charge 5 wristband connector is different than that of the Charge 4. So far, I've read a small number user posts that report their Charge 5 quick connect tab broke or wouldn't securely latch to the wristband.

Personally, I haven't had any problems with the wristband connection on my Charge 5. I'm using a 3rd party metal mesh band on my Charge 5 and it stays on very securely.

I’m throwing away a perfectly good Charge 5 since Fitbit installed new firmware which pretty much killed my tracker. I’m not the only one so be careful.  Won’t be getting another Fitbit/Google tracker again but that’s me…
