I accidentally entered our lake on Saturday afternoon wearing my Charge 5; max depth was maybe 5-6 feet. (It's rated at 50m.) Later that day, the Charge 5 was unresponsive. I dried it with a soft towel. It still is unresponsive. Can this be fixed somehow. Quite disappointing.

Hi, @MagnetGuru welcome, your Charge 5 is good for normal swimming provided it has not been damaged. You do not mention how long you've had your device, depending on where you are and from whom you bought it you may still have the benefit of Fitbit's return and warranty policy In any event your next move should be to talk to "Customer Support" using the phone or Chat facility for prompt attention. Make a note of the steps you've taken and the results so you can brief the agent clearly.
I hope this helps.
Cheers
