I bought my Charge 5 fitbit February of 2022 and I've been very happy with it so far. In the last few months I have noticed I have an abnormally high amount of Exercise Zones and recorded bpm. Today for example, with a resting heart rate of 77bpm, I walked to a bus stop, got a bus, walked fifteen minutes then sat for four hours at college. In those four hours I had my BPM go from 88 at 9:59am to 147bpm at 10:11 and back down to 81bpm at 10:47. This is incredibly unlikely...I was sat calmly focusing on my work and not doing anything remotely exercise related. I did not even stand up once.
Again at home it went from 82bpm at 19:46 to 153bpm at 20:18...My all-time high during exercise is the 120s!! I am unfit but I do not have any kind of heart condition at all, this simply cannot be correct. I have read other posts and seen this is an issue with the Charge 5 but I am not sure what the solution would be. I have tried tightening my band, loosening my band, wearing it higher up, wearing it lower down. I have unpaired, reset and paired it again. Restarted it. Nothing is working! Will I need to replace it or is this something that can be fixed? I'd have liked it to last longer than one year!

Hi, it's good to see you visiting the Community forums for the first time, @Neopolitan183.
Thanks for all the information provided about this inconvenience with your Charge 5.
Keep in mind that you should receive 1 Active Zone Minute for each minute in the fat burn zone and 2 Active Zone Minutes for each minute in the cardio or peak zone. However, if you were doing a low intensity activity and you still received a high amount of AZM or a high number of BPM, I recommend that you try restarting the device again using the three pulse restart method mentioned here below, instead of the restart option found on the Charge 5 itself:
In addition, please follow the instructions in this article to improve the accuracy of heart rate information and check the information mentioned here about other factors that could affect your heart rate reading, this has been useful to other users who have experienced something similar.
