Charge 5 Battery Drains After a Few Hours - Support Laughs & Says Fitbits Only Functions For A Year!

Jesus, we're all being RIPPED OFF here!

The issue of the battery only lasting a few hours is clearly a known issue. I spent the past 2 days on the phone with support trying all the typical troubleshooting issues. Today the rep laughed and said that's been a common issue, and that the charge 5 IS ONLY SUPPOSED TO FUNCTION FOR A YEAR! The conversation was recorded and re-submitted to support to confirm this statement.

He said the only fix has been getting a replacement. He said I'd get an email with the instructions from a different team within an hour.

The email stated that due to not being under the 1 year warranty, all they can do is offer a 30% discount code for me to buy a new one! I've been a huge advocate for fitbit, and pre-ordered the charge 5 as soon as pre-orders opened. WTF! Product dies after 1.5 years and I'm out of luck?

Yeah this is the last FitBit I will ever purchase.  They told me the same thing when my Alta, HR, and my wifes Alta died.  Then I purchased this Charge 5.  Was working fine until yesterday when the battery would not hold charge.  Also you are supposed to tap on the screen and the clock face displays.  No such luck even though I charged it to 100%.  It drained out in about 30 minutes.  Bye Bye Fitbit!

I brought my latest Fitbit on 17 Dec 2022 and having the same problems. Tried re-sets to no avail. Think I am going to give up on Fitbit as I have brought 5 different versions over the years and they don’t last!

Same here!  After the last firmware update it started the battery drain issue
