Charge 5 Battery Issue

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Bought a charge 5 about 3 months ago and it worked well for the first ~2 months. Overnight, without any change to my use patterns, settings, etc. the battery began rapidly draining and now lasts 1-2 days at best. Previously it lasted 6-7 days with the exact same use.

I have reached out to fitbit support multiple times and been provided with the same battery "tips and tricks" time and time again- I have followed them all dutifully and none of them work. I have performed multiple resets in a variety of different ways- still the same issue. I have been told to not use GPS anymore- why would I do this, its part of the reason I bought the device and literally what you are selling me?

Finally someone reached out to me and let me know that the device is not protected after 45 days and there is nothing to be done. Really? So fitbit only stands by their product for a month and a half- what a joke. I have bought a series of these bands and never had an issue. I don't like reaching out to customer service to complain about things and this might be the first time I've ever bothered posting to a message board.

The device is not working and no one in support seems to care. The proper recourse would be to either issue me a refund (as I've requested multiple times) or send me a replacement device. I've been a happy customer for a long time but am thoroughly disgusted with the way this has been handled and will be moving on to a new device, not that anyone cares.

Yesterday I charged my fitbit to 100%, today for the first time ever, it was screaming at me to charge it.  I moved it from the original outlet to another and started charging again.  Unfortunately, I cannot restart it from settings.  It will never get to the restart no matter how much light or hard pressure I give it to move up on settings.
