Hi @Workit2 ! Welcome to our community forums!

I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is running out of power faster than expected.

  • Have you recently increased your use of apps that require GPS?
  • Prevent the screen from turning on every time you turn your wrist. If you move your hands a lot, your device's screen may turn on more often than you think.
  • Turn off notifications you don't need, including alerts from your phone apps, alarms, and reminders to move.
  • Verify your phone OS is up to date.

Please restart your Charge 5 and charge your Fitbit to 100%, preferably connected to a computer, and use it as you normally do to check if the battery lasts longer.

Hello @Workit2

When my Charge 5 started having rapid battery loss, I restarted and recharged my device multiple times over several days. As soon as I saw a rapid drop in battery, I restarted my Charge 5 and put it on the charger until it was back to 100%, often doing this multiple times in a day. Eventually, this process got my device "unstuck" and the battery went back to lasting 6-7 days. Although there's no guarantee that this will work for you, it might be worth a try.

Mine is doing the same thing and it's only since I switched to the new app.

I also have this issue recently. But what makes this extra annoying. Is that the Fitbit does not save the workout when the battery dies. I did a 1 and 1 and 1/2 hour workout yesterday, and nothing is saved. Except the step count of those hours partly.
