Charge 5 Battery level won’t sync with iPad mini 5 unless iPad is restarted

The only way I can get my Charge 5 battery level to sync with the fit bit app on my iPad mini 5 is to restart the iPad. This problem occurs  on the current IOS version as well as earlier ones.

Hi, thank you for sharing that you've been experiencing this inconvenience with your battery level, @mandacat

I've seen that other users have reported this behavior in the last few weeks. Please know our team is already aware of the problem and they are currently working to resolve it. In the meantime you can force quit the app as described here and reopen it to see the correct % within the iOS app. Rest assured that the battery percentage displayed on your Fitbit device should always be accurate.

The most recent updates about this inconvenience will be shared in this thread.

Have a good day.

Other than restarting my iPad Mini 5, none of the suggestions I read here
worked for me to sync my Charge 5 battery level with my Fitbit app.
However, I did find a way that did, although its a temporary workaround
that would have to be repeated each time until it’s fixed by the Fitbit
team.

If you want to give it a try, see below - although YMMV.

Open the iPad Settings app and first ensure - in the Left column - that
Bluetooth is ON. Then, in the Left column, scroll down among the apps,
select “Fitbit”, and for Now - in the Right column, ensure that Bluetooth
is ON.

Go into the Fitbit app and pull down to force a sync. Now - go back to
Settings and with the Fitbit app selected in the Left column, turn OFF
Bluetooth in the Right column, wait approx 30 - 60 seconds, leave Bluetooth
OFF and return to the Fitbit app.

If it works for you, pull down and you’ll now see the correct battery level
in the app. Restore normal setting by going back to the Settings, Fitbit
app, and turn Bluetooth back ON. Repeat the above each time you want / need
to see the correct battery level.
