Charge 5 Battery - sudden loss of battery life

Battery was fine (lasting about a week) from purchase (Dec 2022) to last few weeks. Across a couple of weeks battery has plummeted to now not even lasting a whole night on the nightstand (about 5-6 hours when immobile and untouched). Totally worthless. Sounds like it is a common problem and loads of nonsense solutions suggested by customer support e.g. adjusting my GPS and display settings, doing endless restarts, sitting and manually synching the entire period while battery depletes. I'm assuming that as this is a fault that this comes under consumer laws which state goods must last a reasonable amount of time - I'm saying that more than 20 months for a £100+ watch seems reasonable. Will see what they say but won't be buying fitbit again. Husband's garmins (had multiple) have lasted 8-10 years each....and were still better than this when he bought the replacements.

Hi, @LHad1983 as you mention purchasing your Fitbit in sterling, it sounds like you are in the UK.  In the UK as I am sure you will be aware the warranty is 2 years.  That means you should be covered until December 2024 so it would be good to deal with this asap.  Under UK consumer law your first port of call would be the retailer.  If you bought your Fitbit directly from Fitbit you would need to get in touch with them as soon as possible on Contact.fitbit.com to let them know that you would like to make a warranty claim.  They will take it from there.

If you bought it from a different retailer - Curry’s, Carphone Warehouse, Amazon, etc - the quickest way of making a claim is to go in the first instance to the retailer.

I hope this helps.  Welcome to the Community forums!
