Hello Fitbit Support and Community,
My Charge 5 has recently become completely unusable, and I would appreciate any help or advice.
Here is a summary of the issues:
A few days ago, the screen went completely black, but it could still sync step data with the app.
As of yesterday, the screen is still black, and now it can no longer sync with the Fitbit app at all.
After a full charge, the red sensor light on the back stays on permanently, even when not in use.
Because of this, the battery drains very quickly, within hours.
The screen is completely black the entire time, and there is no response or vibration when I try to restart the device.
I attempted a forced restart using the side button while charging (holding for 10+ seconds), but nothing happens – still black screen and red light.
The device cannot be discovered by the app via Bluetooth anymore.
It seems to be a severe firmware crash or hardware failure.
Could someone from the Fitbit team please advise on further steps or confirm if this issue qualifies for a replacement? The device is still within warranty, and I can provide the purchase receipt and serial number upon request.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Best regards,
Ymwpsy
