Charge 5 - Black screen and won't sync after washing with clean water under waterproof mode

Hello,  yesterday I have decided to wash my fitbit charge 5 using clean cold water in my washroom and I placed it on a dry towel for it to dry over time. However, later when I went to retrieve my watch, the screen would not turn on no matter what and I could not get it synchronized with my phone. Then I begin to do online research and came across many suggestions to use the USB button to restart the device. Despite the vibrations my device had following every press, the fitbit logo occurred once and died off again(That was the first and last time I've seen it since yesterday). Additionally, I have tried some of the solutions that people shared which are caused by firmware issue and did not help because I was unable to connect to my device. During this time, the heart monitoring region of the watch seems to have red lights shining which is strange because normally it is green. In addition, there seems to be moistures in one of the transparent block, which I was not completely sure about because I used to swim while wearing the watch and have no defect by turning on the water protection mode. I have tried different power outlet within my home and left it charging the entire night, the device just doesn't seem like have any power. What should I do now?

Contact support and they will probably send a replacement. But don’t get the replacement wet at all, because it will fail and they won’t replace the replacement. I don’t know why they continue to advertise them as water resistant when they’re clearly not.

My fitbit died after getting caught in the rain last Friday. No display or vibration at all. Put it in rice for 3 days and no help, still dead as a doorknob. Contacted support via chat and waiting for a response.  So much for being 50 meter water resistant!
