Does anybody know if the free a premium 6 month offer applies a) if you’ve never had Premium previously b) had the subscription and cancelled it c) have Premium and fancy adding on 6 months free? I find it most confusing!

It's not a full answer (I find it confusing too) but this may help a bit:
" If the Fitbit device you purchased indicates that it includes a trial to Fitbit Premium, but you are currently a Fitbit Premium member, then you must cancel your Premium subscription in order to be able to activate the trial. About 1-3 days after your canceled subscription expires, you’ll see an offer in the Fitbit app to begin the trial."

Is there any verification from Fitbit that the "free premium trial" can be paused until the "coming soon features" are actually available to each user? Is there any real value in the "new features" if you don't have a premium subscription?

@SteveH Thanks for sharing that useful information.
@MikeyJR Welcome to the Fitbit Community.
If you're new to Fitbit Premium with the purchase of your Charge 5, you can start the free trial. If you're a current Premium subscriber and want to activate the 6 months Premium trial, cancel your current subscription and then start the free trial.
@nihahi Hi there. Once Fitbit Premium is activated, it's not possible to pause it, you can still enjoy the Premium features available in the Fitbit app while the new features are available.
Hope this helps.

Interesting, I have been a premium member for 2 years. When I received my Charge 5 on Saturday I set it up and removed my Fitbit Sense. Later that day I looked on the app at Subscriptions and it said next premium payment was due in March. I did not cancel my Sense subscrition, it happened automatically. I was pleasantly surprised.

That's a good point. For me, part of the "sell" was the package inclusion of the 6 month Premium trial. If some things are "coming soon" and therefore unavailable, then we do not get to enjoy the Premium trial to its fullest capacity. Hopefully, the "coming soon" means within the next couple of weeks..

@a_savvin, @MikeyJR and @JavaGypsy Hi there.
@HiggsS, @Paulzsmith76 and @Tan9878 Welcome to the Fitbit Community.
Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting performed prior to posting. In order to provide you with the appropriate procedure, let me know if you're only getting paid options to subscribe to Fitbit Premium.
Also, confirm that your Charge 5 has been paired to your account and that you've followed this procedure to start the trial:
Note that if you're a Premium subscriber, it's recommended to cancel Premium and then after 1-3 days, the option to activate the trial will displayed.
@JavaGypsy I see where you're coming from. Your feedback is truly appreciated, be sure that we're always striving to improve our services offered and the Fitbit Community is a big part of that process.
Hope this helps.

It would be a sign of Fitbit truly valuing it's customers if the company would respond with simple clarity on the timeline of "coming soon"...days? weeks? months? When can owners of the Charge 5 expect to have access to the new features so that the value of the Premium trial period can be fully assessed?

@nihahi Thank you for getting back.
While there isn't an specific date about when these upcoming features are going to be available, you can still enjoy the available Premium features on the Fitbit app.
Have a nice day.

Ok, I'm going to try this. I cancelled Premium today through Google Play Store - I've had my Charge 5 for a week now and my subscription was due to renew on 6th November, so hopefully on 6th November I'll be able to activate my 6 month trial

@dbk2177 Hi there. Thanks for the details mentioned.
Since the Premium subscription has been cancelled, take into consideration that within 1-3 days after the previous has expired, you'll receive the offer to activate it.
See you around.

Hi @dbk2177 , I'm curious to know how it went for you... My subscription will end December 31st but I'd like to get the Charge 5 right away. You activated yours around October 7th so almost a full month before your subscription expired, is that right? Did you get a 6-month trial starting from November 6-7?

Hi and thanks for the reminder @franklelee
So I checked this morning and my premium had expired but I had the option to Try Fitbit Premium and sure enough when I clicked that it offered me a 6 month Charge 5 trial which I'm now on, so all good
