Charge 5 - ECG Feature Availability

Hi everyone, 

I am currently in United Arab Emirates and I'm travelling to India. In the website, the ECG feature says it's only available on specific countries. 

 

If I purchase the device (Fitbit Charge 5) in the UAE and I bring them to India, will the ECG feature work on that region? Or the device itself is region locked?

 

I'm mainly buying the Charge 5 for ECG feature. Please confirm. Thanks!

Hello @wangki811 

 

Every Charge 5 has the ability to run the ECG feature but different countries block the App's availability as it's waiting official approval there.  If you buy it in one country where it works, then move to one where it's not available yet, it won't work there.  If you then go to another country where it's approved, it will reappear.
