Why is this limited to 7 mins?  How can we match & track a Calm meditation that is potentially 30 - 60 mins in length?  Sense implies it can do this???

Thx, Kent

Hello @Kents82

Fitbit isn't officially here although there are moderators who are connected to the company.  This is a community where normal customers help each other out with problems wherever they can.

I'm responding to your message but I'm not attached to Fitbit and am just an ordinary customer.  I hope that's alright with you.

The EDA is just for a short measurement to check your stress or remind you to slow down, not a meditation session.

If you want to track meditation there are a few ways to do it.

If you add the Mindfulness tile to your Today screen in the App on your phone, by pressing Edit and + Mindfulness, there's a place you can track your sessions.  If you have Premium there are some guided sessions.

If you are meditating by yourself, you could log it as Yoga (or Workout), using a Shortcut on your Charge 5.  In the App on your phone, tap your profile picture then Charge 5, then Exercise Shortcuts.  Delete one by swiping left and then tap +Exercise Shortcuts to add either Workout or Yoga  (there doesn’t seem to be a specific meditation one).   Then sync your Charge 5 and it should turn up under Exercise on your tracker.

When you’re ready to start a session, call up that shortcut and press start. At least with Workout you can swipe up from the bottom after pressing start and set a goal for time etc.  Then press finish when you’re done.

Later you can go to the App on your phone and tap the Exercise session and then the white arrow at the top right for Categorize Exercise and then then start typing Meditation in the Search box, tap to rename.  Now your session will be recorded, including heart rate and it can be for any length of your choosing.

I hope that helps a bit.
