Charge 5 Firmware Update 194.91

I’ve installed the update and it’s great I can use Kayak on my Fitbit however when I download it to the app, it comes up as HIIT and effectively tells me nothing about my paddle other than heart rate and calories. 
Any suggestions on how to correct this?

Sleep Score on watch worked after a couple explicit syncs.  No problems with this firmware so far.  

I have always put Charge 5 on charger when doing update.  Have those with update problems not done this?

I did. But my problem wasn't downloading the update, it was afterwards.

Hello LizzyFitbit, I got my Charge 5 today but I noticed that notifications are not coming. So I'm trying to update it, the system information says Firmware version: 57.20001.171.50. Have looked in the fitbit app everywhere but didn't manage to find something that says update. Im located in Italy btw. Thank you

Same as mine battery is draining fast. Fitbit said it's not an general issue but apparently it is!

Hi my problem is that the sync with my Fitbit 5 and the app on my phone is suddenly showing two different informations

so my Fitbit watch is showing 12018 steps so far today yet my Fitbit app is only syncing 4000 something

The Fitbit Gods must like me! Updated my Charge 5 yesterday to; 57.200001.194.91 without issue. Took all of 5 minutes.

Battery seems OK. Down 9% after 30 hours. Notifications for texts & email working.

Looks like I'm good to go. 👍

I have the 194.91 update. In the past week or so the sleep track/score only shows on my Charge 5 for the first few hours of my day, then disappears. Also menstrual cycle is stuck on "1 until". I can still fully view both in the app, but seems to be glitching on the Charge 5.

I would suggest you follow the steps I posted a few days ago.

Basically, do these steps until your problem is solved and then stop. Once
your Charge is working don't tempt fate.

Steps:
1. clear the user data (YouTube has several videos)
2. Reset your charge (again YouTube)
3. Uninstall and reinstall the app on your phone. (Google tied the two
together so some of the stuff (like the cycle) is calculated on the phone.
4. clear the user data (yes again )
5. Reset your charge (again as well)

If that doesn't fix the problem. I don't think you are going to bed happy.

The other day, when I updated, I had the new exercises. I was able to modify. Today. I noticed thst list has reset to the original, shorter list and exercises like yoga no longer appear on the app or the watch

Update...appear now first part of day then the numbers disappear for the rest of the day

Mine did the same thing. It's also vibrating at random intervals, sometimes for minutes at a time. I've tried a reboot with the power cable, but this seems to make it worse at times. I fear my only hope it to wait for it to run completely out of power so I can restart it.

I had the exact same issues. Battery will charge but drains within a few hours. I have no heart rate anymore. The lights on the back of the watch stopped working. Steps and calories are completely off. Everything has crashed since the update. After contacting Fitbit, there is nothing that they will do for me. I have been a loyal customer for over 2 years. I am very upset over all of this and would prefer to just spend more money and get a tracker that actually works and have a company who cares.

Now my 2nd. Charge 5 has died. Out of warranty, and I'm probably hooped, to get a replacement. From my experience the lifespan of a Charge 5, appears to be a year.

Have very little confidence that a Charge 6, will be any better.

I just had the same issue. Tracker works but the screen is black.

My charge 5 was working fine before the update. Now it isn't tracking my steps properly and I get zero sleep data every night. What is the fix for this?

9% in 30 hours!! Wow!! I assume you have little or none of the special feature that Fitbit Plus charges for. Which is usually the battery burners.

1. @aprilsroom Most likely it is the app and Phone Bluetooths are out of sync.  I would suggest you follow the steps I posted a few days ago.

2. clear the user data (YouTube has several videos)

1) SpO2 no longer shows with other metrics...does show in chart. Why is it no longer registering along w/ other 4 metrics?

2) Is there a way to change the colors for my walking or biking routes so there is some CONTRAST? The 4 colors are too similar, don't stand out against each other. With all the pixels available in the universe, why did the "update" change once contrasty colors to pale, hard to tell the difference colors?
