Hi,
Question. Say you are out hiking and your phones battery goes dead and you are lost. Does your GPS on your fitbit still work to help track your location?

Hi, @insbrat , no, that is not how the GPS works on the Fitbit. If you are tracking an exercise which uses GPS you will get a walk on your app after you have synced your Fitbit. It will not be available to you on the device itself as you walk.
I hope this answers your question. Welcome to the forums!

I have found the GPS does not even track my exercise so...I have strong doubts.

@Bouchonne , that is a completely different issue. The original question was whether Fitbit GPS could be used to find your location if you were lost.
It is not designed to solve this issue, and it won’t. If you would like help using GPS to track your exercise, please post your issue and someone can try to help. It is always useful to give as much information as possible.

ok, thank you for responding. It would be kind of a cool idea if it could be programed for that. Alot of people hike, get lost, battery goes dead on their phone and then they are stuck.
