When I use my Fitbit Charge 5 to log a bike ride, after I have finished the ride and look at the map it shows the starting point of my ride anywhere from .5 miles to 1 mile after I actually started the ride. Is there a delayed start feature I need to change or something else that is effecting my mapped exercise?

Same here. Map worked fine for over a year and then just stopped appearing. Fitbit customer service is offering ineffective solutions like “hold the watch parallel to your head “. Must be a new software flaw.

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @USUAggie!
Please make sure you start your biking exercise on your Charge 5 and wait until your device has received GPS signal before you start biking.
