Charge 5 GPS and device to band connection...anyone else concerned?

My Charge 4 is becoming less responsive (likely the battery is nearing it's end of life). I used to be able to "move up" to a new release device from Fitbit with confidence, I will NOT buy a Charge 5 until it's been out long enough to get actual user feedback on 2 areas of concern.

1. Has the GPS been at all improved to be more accurate? The Charge 4 GPS has been a huge disappointment in both accuracy and connectivity.

2. Has the "device to band" connection been improved? I have no interest in spending $$ for a device that has a high degree of being lost or rendered unwearable because of a cheap, plastic connector design.

There is absolutely NOTHING in the marketing, promotional material that addresses these 2 concerns, even though there is a long history of user frustration with Charge 4 owners.

@nihahi   We won't know about the GPS until we see some hands on reviews.  I don't know for sure how the Charge 5 band connects.  A moderator confirmed that the Charge 3/4 bands don't fit, so it is definitely different.  The Charge 5 images show a band that Fitbit calls an infinity band.  If it is like the Versa 3/Sense infinity band, then there is a clip on the device side and no prong sticking out.  The band goes into a groove on the device.  I did a freeze frame on the Charge 5 video.  It looks like the Versa 3/Sense clip, but I haven't seen it for real.

All it would take, is some kind of acknowledgement in the marketing. Fitbit has clearly highlighted the improvements to "visibility", which has been another long standing concern of many users. Absolute avoidance regarding other established issues is a red flag for me.

Any connection, be it a prong or a groove that is made of plastic is likely to fail, (as has already been well established), especially on a device that is supposed to be worn 24/7 and during physical activity.

It astounds me that after a long history of user issues with these 2 features, that there is absolutely no reference to improvements to them in the marketing. Moderators constantly respond the complaints/questions with the stock reply of "Fitbit is aware and is working on this...". I'm waiting for Fitbit to "show their work".
