Charge 5 GPS won’t connect in any mode

My Charge 5 will not connect to GPS in any mode.

 

On hikes with my wife over the past few weeks, her Charge 5, the exact same model, bought at the exact same time, connects to GPS.

 

My phone also connects to GPS.

 

I have followed ALL the troubleshooting.  I have checked for SW updates.  I have logged out and back in.  NOTHING works.

 

This Charge 5 is two months old.  GPS worked at one time because I have mapped records of the walks I took.

Sad to hear that your Charge 5 has issues connecting to GPS. You mentioned that you've already tried all available trouble shooting. You may even already have tried to restart your device. But because a specific procedure is required to do so, I'd suggest to try it again following these instructions closely:

 

1.) Connect your Charge 5 to the charging cable which has to be connected to a power source.

2.) Press the button located on the USB plug of the charger 3 times within 8 seconds(!), holding each press for about 1 second(!).

3.) Wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

 

If that won't work for you, I'd suggest to contact Fitbit support to get further assistance:

There is no button on the charge 5 charger system

@gmlasher The round button is located on one of the flat sides of the USB plug of your Charge 5's charging cable:
