Charge 5 HR and syncing issues

I have had my charge 5 replaced three times issues with picking up HR and syncing my active minutes and surprisingly enough I am experiencing exactly the same issues with the most current one. I really don’t want to go through all the troubleshooting the chat team make you do, just to have it forwarded on to the email team who take forever to respond. 
last time I was offered either a replacement or 50% off a new model, but the discount couldn’t be used on any of the new models so it felt like I would have to downgrade or accept a replacement. 
The Charge 6 is also being marketed as having the best HR tracker ever, which makes me feel like this is a known issue with the 5 and that given I have tried several different Charge 5’s and had HR issues with each of them that purchasing the 6 with a discount should have been something that was offered.
