The following table provides a description of my Fitbit Tracker and Synching Environment:
Fitbit Tracker: | Charge 5 |
Firmware Version: | 57.20001.141.4 |
Operating System, Environment: | Windows 11 (with USB Fitbit Bluetooth Hub) |
Fitbit App | Windows Fitbit App |
I was able to pair my Charge 5's Bluetooth to my Fitbit App on the first try. However, on the following day I was unable to sync the Charge 5. I tried removing and then adding back the Charge 5 from/to the Fitbit App. However, I get the following message: An Issue occurred while pairing your tracker followed by 7 steps to perform. The last step says to 'try factory resetting the tracker'. Note, when I try to add the Charge 5 to the Windows 11 Bluetooth Settings I get a message saying: Connecting...Try connecting your device again.
Bottom Line: I'm at the point where I want to try to do a Factory Reset. How do I do a Factory Reset for the Charge 5?

Hi @jonbjoseph
Since factory reset instructions from the Charge 5 manual are a bit confusing, I found several YouTube videos that demonstrate how to do a factory reset. This one has pretty clear directions: How to do Factory Reset for Charge 5
Hopefully, this will help you with your issue. If not, please let us know.

Hi @RiekoC
Thank you for your response.
Steps 2-7 reference a 'button' in the 'Charge 5 Factory Reset' directions link you provided. That Tracker has a button that is visible in the 'Charge 5 Factory Reset' directions. However, my Tracker is a Charge 5, which doesn't have a button on the Tracker. There is a button on the USB connector on the charging cable. That button is referenced in the directions to do a 'Pulsed Reset' (pressing on the button 3x) in the Charge 5 Users Manual. I've tried the Pulsed Reset, but still am unable to pair my Charge 5 Tracker to the Fitbit App.
I really like this Tracker, so hopefully I can solve this problem. Thanks again for your response.

@ReikoC
The YouTube video you pointed me to, provided exactly the information I was seeking. I was able to re-add/pair my Charge 5 Tracker to the (Windows) Fitbit App and successfully perform an initial test sync. Unfortunately, it appears that I’m unable to sync after the initial test sync. But that’s a separate issue that I’ll tackle next.
Thank you very much for your help!
