Charge 5 - How to turn off motivational messages during an activity?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Took my 5 out for a first run yesterday. Used the run feature as you would expect.

Dont ever recall this happening on my 4 however it seemed like every 5 minutes it would vibrate and display a message along the lines of "keep it up" or "you're earning activity minutes" etc etc.

Extremely distracting.

Any idea how to turn these messages off without putting it into a do not disturb type mode while exercising?

I do not want it to be in DND mode so I can still receive notifications of phone calls.

Thanks in advance

@TPII Welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for the details mentioned.

The motivational messages you're getting come from being in a new heart rate zone and therefore earning Active Zone Minutes. To turn them off, do the following:

Heart-rate zone notifications during an exercise in the Exercise app:

  1. On your tracker, swipe left or right to the Exercise app, then wipe up to find an exercise
  2. Tap to choose an exercise, then swipe up through the exercise settings
  3. Tap Heart Zone Notifications to turn it off

If you'd like to turn off the weekly Active Zone Minutes notifications, check out this article for full instructions.

Hope this helps.
