Charge 5 Interval Timer - Vibration

The Charge 5 needs an interval timer that vibrates when it cycles between work/rest cycles like the Interval Timer on the Inspire 2 does.

Hello @Ben_P and welcome to the Community.  I apologize if I'm misreading what you wrote.  It sounds like you want to add the Interval Workout shortcut to your Charge 5.  Please edit your Exercise Shortcuts in your Fitbit app, just like you did with the Inspire 2.

Hi, it's good to see you visiting the Community forums for the first time, @Ben_P

Your post has been moved from the Feature Suggestions board to the Charge 5 board, since it's more related to this subject. This option is available when you use the Interval workout shortcut. The device will vibrate every time it cycles between work and rest, as you mentioned earlier.

To add this shortcut to your device, you can follow the steps listed here. Keep in mind that you can only have 6 shortcuts added to the Charge 5 at the same time, so if you already have 6, you'll need to remove one so you can add Interval Workout.

See you around in the Community.

When I first used my internal timer it wouldn’t vibrate when it cycled. I contacted Fitbit support and they told me the interval timer on the Charge 5 only vibrates after the last cycle. So I created this post to request and actual interval timer be added to the Charge 5. I then realized I had my DND turned on. When I turned it off the Interval Timer vibrated as it should when it cycled.

For heavens sake, you answered my question.   It only took me two days of searching for such a simple fix!  Fitbit needs a better instruction manual or something.

Hi, thank you for your inquiry about the interval timer on Charge 5, @MartinHill

The closest thing to the feature you described is to add the interval workout option or the circuit training option as exercise shortcuts to your Charge 5. You can find more information on how to add exercise shortcuts here. These workouts would give you a summary of the activity at the end, which includes active zone minutes, average heart rate and other information.

If this isn't what you're looking for specifically, I would recommend that you post your idea in the Feature Suggestion board of the Community, since this section is regularly monitored by the team of developers. Make sure to post your idea including as many details as possible.

Regarding the option to contact the Support team, it seems that you were able to get in touch with them for further assistance. You can always chat with them or give them a call through this page
