My Charge 5 is about 2 years old. I never took it in the water before even though Fitbit claims the device is safe to 50 meters. Last week I took a short swim while wearing the Charge 5 and the device stopped working. Fitbit customer support could not resolve the issue. I was offered a 35% discount on a new Fitbit device. Why would I spend $150 dollars AGAIN on an item that clearly does not perform to the standards claimed by Fitbit?

Hey Kilo66, I too have been affected by the false advertising of a Fitbit being waterproof!! I was in the water on the weekend and it stopped working in the evening and now it doesn't work at all!! I was also offered a 35% discount, but why would I reinvest in such a crappy watch. It's great when it works, but in this case, I give it a 0/10 rating.
