I received a Fitbit charge that worked for about 8 hours. I was told after many hours of chatting to return it for replacement. Sent the whole **ahem** thing back- ok they replaced the brains only, then I bowled and the rushed a charger but the band took another week or so. Now I’m all together - 8 weeks later- summer almost over- and this is a piece of **. I am training for an open swim- figured perhaps I could use the GPS. It doesn’t respond to my “taps” and crap. Any advice is welcome. I’m on a remote island for the summer.

Hi @RuningFast22 when we're asked to return them, customer support tells us just what pieces we need to return. Generally they only ask for the pebble part, which is the main piece. I'm not sure what you've done to get it going, but have you tried restarting the device a few times?

The GPS cannot be used while swimming.
The Charge 5 doesn't respond to your taps, while swimming or at all? Could you please elaborate and provide more information on the situation?

I had the same thing happening during a swim last month. I needed a hard reset on the cable using the button.
