Hi - I recently updated my Charge 5 to the latest version 20001.171.50 and noticed that around the same time, my resting heart rate increased from 56 bpm to 60 bpm. Has anyone else noticed that their resting heart rate has gone up with the latest firmware update?

Hi, @JeffersonL , I am guessing that this is just a coincidence and not related to the update. Your resting heart rate is always a little variable and can go up for many reasons - especially if you are a little run down or coming down with a virus etc. For when the RHR can vary through their cycle, and a rise in resting heartrate can be an early sign of pregnancy!
To answer your question directly, I personally have not noticed any changes associated with the update (and I don’t think the notes indicate that this update is changing anything in RHR detection). I do notice that my RHR goes up if I don’t get enough sleep or If I drink more than a glass or two of wine.
I would recommend keeping an eye on it for a few weeks and trying to see if any lifestyle or health changes make a difference.
I hope this helps. Welcome to the forums!

I've had fitbits for more than 5 years. The app updated recently and so did my versa 2 curiously my resting of 56 has risen to 60 also. The year long profile shows the recent spike. . . Coincidence I think not.

Well, to answer your question directly, no I have not seen this reported elsewhere. As I said, there are many reasons your RHR could take a spike. Despite your update I still think the recent rise is likely to be caused by one of the other many factors that can affect your RHR rather than the recent update.
