Charge 5 Screen Brightness stuck on dim

Has anyone had their Charge 5 screen go to the Dim setting and will not adjust to normal or bright?  I tried reset but it didn’t work. Looking for suggestions.  TIA

Could be that you are in Sleep Mode, intentionally keeping screen dim.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Just check sleep mode. I moved the digital switch from left to right, no
change. I tried getting out of the settings to see if that made a
difference and the screen went black. Now I have no display. I think the
device has failed.
