Charge 5 Sleep Score rarely works

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've been using Charge 5 for two weeks. Four nights I have gotten a sleep score and related data. The rest of the nights gives nothing but time slept. Not very useful.

I also have not gotten a Readiness Score. Have been wearing 24/7 for two weeks aside from re-charging twice.

Health Metrics are also mostly blank.

Have I bought a faulty product?

Hi, thank you to everyone for taking the time to share all this information about what you've been experiencing with the Charge 5, @immunetoboredom.

Please note that you must see sleep stages in order to see a sleep score. For more information, see What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages? I also suggest trying the following:

1. Change your sleep setting to normal:

2. Log out of the Fitbit app, force quit the app, restart your phone and log into your Fitbit app again (this has been helpful for other users not seeing Health Metrics as well).

3. For more information about sleep score, please see this help article: What's sleep score in the Fitbit app?

Regarding the Readiness Score, please also note that:

  • The Fitbit app must be on version 3.49 or higher. For more information on updating the Fitbit app, see How do I use the Fitbit app?

  • You must be a Fitbit Premium member using a compatible device. For a list of compatible devices, see Who can see a daily readiness score in the Fitbit app?
  • To receive your first daily readiness score, you must wear your Fitbit device continuously for at least 4 days and nights. To continue receiving a score, wear your device 4+ nights per week.
  • If you already received your first score, make sure you wear your device for at least 1 full day (during the day and to sleep at night), then check your score after you wake up in the morning. To see a daily readiness score, you must wear your Fitbit device for at least 14 hours.
  • Make sure the back of your device is in contact with your skin. The band should be snug but not constricting.
  • Most metrics require at least 3 hours of quality sleep. If you move a lot during your sleep or the sleep session is too short, you might not get a reading.

Hope this helps, I'll be around.

same here, followed the directions above but still very erratic results. Had the same problem with Inspire HR starting Dec. 9th which is why I upgraded to the Charge 5.
