Charge 5 Sleep Scores and Sleep Stages

Can Charge 5 shows sleep stages and produce sleep scores every night?  I have followed all instruction including synch before sleep and after awake.  It doesn’t capture. I started wearing this on 14th March night ans it captured only once.  Do we have to activate certain features as requirements to make sure sleep stages and sleep scores are recorded?

Hello @han88fia

It seems to work really well for some people and be more hit and miss for others.  In my case, I get sleep scores and stages more than 90% of the time (I just checked and in 6 weeks I had one night that didn't record them).  This is my experience and what works for me.  It might not work for everybody though.

I wear my Charge 5 on my non-dominant wrist.  I wear it on that side all the time but have heard it might help people having problems getting scores to switch to the other wrist at night.

Sleep sensitivity is set to Normal.  If you have your sensitivity switched to sensitive it picks up small movements as being awake and doesn't always record your sleep.

I don't do anything or press anything or even sync before I go to bed.  I just go and let the Fitbit do its own thing.  In the morning I sync when I wake up.  Problems start to occur when people start sleep from the App.  You don't need to do that with the devices that measure heart rate.

That's what seems to work for me.

I hope that helps you a bit.

Hello @Wibby

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond and explain to my post.  Guess what, I manage to get sleep stages and sleep score for my sleep last night.  Yaaay!

Before I posted yesterday, I activate heart rate and heart zone notification features in my Charge 5. I wear it on my non-dominant wrist but I tightened it a bit before went to sleep last night, to make sure it touched well on my skin during my sleep and I am going to loosen it back in daytimes. I did make sure I activate heart rate and heart zone notification features as well.  Voila! It is done perfectly with colourful stages now.

Now let me wish you and everyone a great weekend, wherever you are!

Cheers!
