Charge 5 - Twist of wrist will not turn screen on

My Charge 5 is several years old.  It has worked well until about two weeks ago.  The screen will not light up when I twist my writs.  It will light up with 3 or 4 taps on the scree.  Is there a fix to make the screen come on with a twist of the writs, or i my Charge 5 simply giving out from old age?

Common issue, likely simple fix.  Swipe down from clock screen to get to Quick Settings.  Probably accidentally either have Screen Wake set to Manual or are in Sleep Mode.
