Yes, battery life goes "up to" 7 days. That much is clear. However, Fitbit themselves only states that "battery life will be reduced" with the always-on display, not how much battery life can be expected when the option is on for, say, 6am to 10pm.
Does someone have any figures for this, or will I have to start collecting this info myself?

Exact figures aren't given for the hours you're asking about but if you follow this link and scroll down to the * points, they give you a rough idea of how long the battery will last with Always On or GPS.

Thank you for that link. Well, around three days with always-on display seems reasonable to me with my current battery usage. It might even be four, when enabled in the interval I mentioned.
