I have tried this numerous times with the same result. The battery is well charged, other alarms work fine, I'm careful to be sure I have the am/pm set correctly. I get a green check, indicating the alarm is set, but it does not go off. If I turn on smart wake, it does go off, but not necessarily at the precise time that I would like. Does setting a day have anything to do with this? My alarms are usually one time-only deals.
Thanks for any help.

I've started another post this morning as my alarm (which usually works) has not gone off for the last 2 mornings as well as many other peoples.

I also seem to have this problem. Last night, I changed a daily alarm from 7AM to 6AM and thought it was. It didn't work, but it did go off at 7AM...in the middle of a run.

This is one of dumbest things Fitbit has done. I don't understand why you could not leave the way it was. Set an alarm for when you need it.

I bought my Charge 5 yesterday and was so disappointed when the alarms didn’t work this morning.
I’ll try the suggested workarounds but it’s not acceptable. I had no problems at all with the Charge 2. This issue needs to be resolved.
Come on Fitbit, this is surely an easy fix.

Its just one more of those Fitbit errors that they never will fix. Last we had the notification problem. Now we have this. Thought google buying them would help. But, not so much👍

Noone is using it successfully. It doesnt work after one of their updates. And they are in no hurry fixing it. As usuall. It will never be fixed.

As was mentioned by Lisa earlier, she did find a solution. I have tried it multiple times now, and it has worked for me as well. A big shout out to VisaM! Thank you for sharing your solution. I spent an hour on Live Chat yesterday trying to get this resolved with no luck. For those still having this issue, here is what she posted above:
"What worked for me was realizing that you are not done when you get the
green Alarm Set checkmark. Gotta swipe right and look at the darn thing,
then it's set. That green checkmark has gotta go"
What stumps me, is that the customer service agents don't have this solution to share with those of us having the problem. I am writing them to tell them I am all set thanks to VisaM.
What is really frustrating is she posted her solution in January of this year, and customer support still can't help people with at least this solution.

Can a moderator help me out please as after 3 weeks of my Fitbit alarm working since buying it, the other day the alarm has stopped working. The workaround by VisaM doesn’t work for me neither does any of the other advice I’ve read on this thread. I’d like someone to either tell me how to fix it or I’d like to return it. Thanks.

Mine randomly stopped again yesterday morning and didn't wake me up. My phone back up alarm did! I had to plug the charge 5 in and reboot via the cable to get it to work again. If I was solely relying on the charge 5 to get me up in the morning I would have slept in way more times that I would have liked. I don't know why stuff keeps breaking on this.

This is a bolted on, one temporary solution. Not a fix. What if it happens again before going to work and picking up the kids from school?
AAh no problem. Just restart your Fitbit for the alarm to work one more time. The original post was written in October 2021. The issue still persists!!!
Nobody posted asking about smart wake btw.

Thank you for the info on alarms, thankfully I have mastered it, and so far so good, the alarm has worked every time! I still have a back up alarm phone just in case! 😁
Hope you have a nice day 😊🍰🫖

Was having trouble too, then tried it without setting sleep mode and has worked reliably since.
