After an update on the Fitbit app my charge 5 ‘died’. I connected the charging cable and tried the three pulses on the USB connection with no success, the app indicated that the tracker wasn’t being charged.
I disconnected the tracker using ‘Forget this device’ and tried pairing it again, the activity went well until the app asked for the four digit pin, sadly the tracker screen remain black therefore I could not complete the ‘pairing’.
My guess is that there is still some software functionality and the screen has been disabled.
The question, is there any way the screen can be reactivated or am I chasing a lost cause?

Exactly the same issue also not holding a charge. Had to get in touch with support via chat. Luckily under warranty and this was a replacement had less then 12 months.
They going to replace but got to send mine back. They asked me to factory reset before sending back but can't use screen???

Same issue here. I see it to be a common problem. Tried all the resets and tried to change the clock face. No help. My charge 5 is 18 months old!
