Charge 5 (and Charge 4) will not sync/connect with Galaxy Fold 3.

First my Charge 5 would not synch. So I "removed" it and tried to reinstall it. It is seen by the Bluetooth but it will not install. So I...

- turned off and turned on Bluetooth

- reset the Charge 5 (connected via charging cable)

- reset the Charge 4 (also connected via charging cable)

- rebooted phone..multiple times

- uninstalled and reinstall the Fitbit app

And still neither device is being seen by the app and will not install.

Any additional steps would be GREATLY appreciated.

You can only have one of these devices connected to your account/app at a time. I would start there, and ensure the unused device is not within bluetooth range.

I have the same issue with my Charge 5 syncing….. and it’s the only Fitbit I have. It is always  near my iPhone by 5ft.

@ddgaslin I would also make sure you have the latest Android app v3.73, which is supposed to specifically address issues with Android 13 and the "Fold" devices.

@Tellygal The general steps for syncing issues:

  • Log out of the Fitbit app
  • Close the app and clear the Fitbit app cache
  • Turn off bluetooth
  • Restart your Charge 5
  • Turn on bluetooth, but do not connect to the Fitbit device
  • Launch the Fitbit app and login

Some variations include:

  • Remove the fitbit from the list of known bluetooth devices, before you restart the Charge 5
  • Remove the Charge 5 from your account in the app settings, before you log you of the app. This requires adding the device back to the Fitbit app.

@ddgaslin By "install" I assume this means the app does not recognize or connect to your Charge 5. Is that correct? If so, I would contact Fitbit support.

The app sees the Charge 5 (and the Charge  4 when I attempted to install it), then refuses to install it.  It just keeps telling me to try again.
