my charge 5 stopped working overnight and became completely unreponsive. I tried all the solutions and got on to customer support however due to my device being out of warranty all they offered was a discount. Is this really all they can do? Ive read that this is a known issue with this device and considering this is the second time this has happened I'm not happy with the 'solution' offered to me.

@shamblerr the Fitbit Charge 5 was discontinued in 2023, when the Charge 6 was released. It is now considered a legacy device and is no longer fully supported. You can read the Legacy Device Policy here. Unfortunately, Customer Support has very few options to offer for these devices.
If you haven't already tried this, I would suggest restarting your device a few times. Sometimes that can get things working again.
